Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies or preparing ingredients when needed
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage waste disposal and recycling procedures effectively
- Ensure proper handling of food items according to safety regulations to prevent contamination
- Keep inventory of dishware and cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with energy and precision
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and serving is a plus
