Position Summary
The Bishop Hotel is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented housekeeper to join our small, dedicated hospitality team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and guest care, ensuring each visitor enjoys the comfort and charm that make The Bishop special.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities
- Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, hallways, stairwells, and shared spaces across all three floors
- Assist with daily laundry operations: washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
- Handle and care for the hotel’s historic interior elements and furnishings with respect and caution
- Report maintenance concerns or safety issues promptly
- Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, professional manner
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and housekeeping protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred, especially in hotels or historic properties
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently
- Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to a high standard of cleanliness
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Appreciation for historic spaces and careful handling of vintage furnishings
