Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. You will work closely with pets and their owners, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all animals. The ideal candidate should have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitizing dog suites, play areas and yards
- Feeding dogs according to owner instructions
- Keeping water bowls full
- Supervising groups for boarding and doggie daycare
- Walking pets to yards and supervising dog interactions
- Appropriately medicating dogs
- Grooming dogs as instructed (washing and doing nail trims)
- Following laundry procedures
- Following safety procedures
Qualifications include:
- Physical stamina to be on your feet all day bending, lifting, and scooping
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs
- Experience working and caring for dogs (Preferred)
- Ability to work part time all year-round including weekends and holidays
- US work authorization
- Reliable transportation
- Must be reliable and responsible
