We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our expanding Accounting Department. What You’ll Do
- Drive monthly financial closes, including general ledger analysis and reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Reconcile bank statements and review interfaced data from financial systems
- Coordinate workflow tasks and provide on-the-job training to team members
- Enter, verify, and retrieve data using automated financial systems
- Assist with year-end closing and prepare schedules for independent audits
- Prepare and distribute both standard and specialized financial reports
- Respond to inquiries regarding accounting procedures, forms, and policies
- Draft professional correspondence and documentation
- Contribute to special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- AP/AR experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player
