The Birches Academy is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated, and resourceful Special Education Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between The Birches, sending districts, and the families we serve, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
As the Coordinator, you will act as the primary liaison between The Birches Academy and various sending districts. You will facilitate the collaboration necessary to address the diverse educational needs of our students, ensuring compliance and high-quality service delivery across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborative Liaison: Partner with sending district special education staff, service providers, parents, and teachers to coordinate student services.
IEP Management: Participate in meetings to ensure educational plans are aligned with student needs.
Communication: Act as the central point of contact for all out-of-district matters, maintaining transparent and proactive communication with families and providers.
Compliance & Organization: Ensure all documentation and reporting meet state and federal special education regulations with meticulous attention to detail.
Problem Solving: Navigate complex educational landscapes to resolve challenges and advocate for the best interests of the student.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors
Experience: Proven track record in special education coordination or a similar administrative role.
Certification: Valid state (any state) certification in Special Education preferred
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
