Handicap Accessible Bus Driver-NEMT

The Bill & Betsy Scheben Care Center provides medical model adult day care for differently abled adults and elderly adults with a variety of diagnosis. We are a non-profit agency and licensed in the state of Kentucky. This position will be driving individuals from/to our Center and other agencies in the Northern Kentucky area and also to/from private residence and/or group homes. Shifts will be Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 9:00/10:00 am and then 1:30/2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Inspect bus before starting route.

* Drive the planned route on time.

* Obey traffic regulations.

* Make stops as scheduled.

* Provide door to door service. Help passengers on and off bus as needed.

* Provide safe, clean, and comfortable transportation.

* Have good relations with the general public.

* Operate wheelchair lift.

* Use of transportation software.

* Clean inside bus.

Previous experience driving bus and working with adults with disabilities a plus. Normal Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Working Hour per Week: 30-32 hour(s) No holidays, no weekends. Normal Work Shifts: Split Shift - early morning and afternoon Special Requirements: Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Applicant must have knowledge of the Northern Kentucky area.
