We are looking for a motivated, licensed Haircut Specialist who enjoys working with children and is excited about helping build this new service from the ground up!
Position Overview
As our Kids Haircut Specialist, you will play a key role in launching and growing our new haircut service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine their passion for hairstyling with their love for working with kids.
The ideal candidate is friendly, patient, creative, and entrepreneurial-minded. We are looking for someone who can deliver excellent haircuts while helping us create a welcoming environment that keeps families coming back.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Quality Haircuts: Deliver professional haircuts primarily for children of various ages and hair types.
- Create a Kid-Friendly Experience: Help children feel comfortable and confident throughout their haircut experience.
- Build Customer Relationships: Develop positive relationships with parents and children to encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty.
- Help Build the Business: Contribute ideas for growing the service, attracting new customers, and creating an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Space: Follow proper sanitation, disinfection, and safety procedures for all tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Manage Daily Operations: Assist with scheduling, customer flow, and maintaining an organized haircut station.
- Support Marketing Efforts: Help promote the new service through creative ideas, customer engagement, and community outreach.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Represent The Big Green Indoor Playground with a positive attitude and a commitment to making every family feel welcome.
Qualifications
- Active Utah cosmetology or barbering license appropriate for the services performed.
- Experience providing haircuts, preferably with children.
- A genuine love for working with kids and families.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Patience, creativity, and the ability to work with children who may be nervous or hesitant about haircuts.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for helping grow a brand-new service.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and professionalism.
