What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Care Coordinator position at The Berman Center?
The Berman Center is a local, hands-on Atlanta treatment center. Our independence from the dictates of corporate ownership gives us the freedom to develop our programs in ways that best serve our clients and ensure their optimal treatment outcomes. Our population includes both adolescents and adults who struggle with mental health and/or substance abuse. Currently, The Berman Center offers services at the Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization levels of care.
We are seeking a Client Care Coordinator as our next new team member at The Berman Center!
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide new client orientation
- Check in with clients during their first week and periodically throughout their stay in treatment
- Obtain authorization from insurance for new clients
- Assist in directing clients to the appropriate groups
- Coordinate/schedule appointments for the medical team and dietitian
- Coordinate care for clients as needed
- Conduct client satisfaction and exit surveys
- Distribute required mental health assessments periodically throughout client's stay in treatment
- Provide follow up and aftercare planning services as needed
- Create treatment plans and discharge plans geared towards each individual client's needs
- Maintain professional documentation of records
Required skills/abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to connect with perspective clients
- Must be comfortable speaking on the phone/email with clients and their families
Required education:
- Prior experience working in the mental health/substance use field is welcomed but not necessary
