We are seeking a Wastewater Operator for assignment in Hoboken, New Jersey. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm
** This is either a 2nd or 3rd Shift position **
** This position requires a valid NJDEP S1 Operators License **
Responsibilities
- Preventive maintenance
- Establishing and maintaining effective sample procedures of plant operations and effluent
- Diagnose operating problems
- Make process control adjustments
- Direct and perform necessary corrective action
- Prepare reports
- Collect samples
- Perform laboratory testing
- Determine proper chemical flow rates
- Maintain shift logs
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Driver's License
- A valid NJDEP S1 Operators License
- 1 years experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants
