What You'll Do:
As a key player on our project team, you'll manage and oversee pipeline and facility construction activities from inception through closeout. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (DOT, PHMSA, FERC), coordinating with vendors and contractors, developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and maintaining rigorous safety and environmental protocols. You'll work closely with project owners, engineering teams, and operations to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget, ensuring seamless integration of project modifications and documentation. Your expertise will help navigate complex field activities, commissioning, startup operations, and documentation to support ongoing and future infrastructure enhancements.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 5 years of industry experience in project engineering or management
- Proven ability to manage small capital and expense projects at operating facilities or pipelines
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and fabrication drawings
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (ANSI B31.3, ASME, API, ASTM, IEC, NACE, NEC, NFPA)
- Knowledge of pipeline regulations (B31.8, DOT, PHMSA, FERC)
- Excellent project management capabilities, including scheduling, cost estimating, and scope control
- Effective communication skills and team collaboration
Nice to Have Skills:
- Mechanical, piping, or instrumentation & controls experience
- Experience with natural gas distribution, transmission, and gas storage facilities
- Field commissioning and startup planning expertise
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Leadership skills in coordinating cross-functional teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in regulated pipeline environments or petrochemical industries is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
- Valid certifications in safety, hazardous materials, or project management are advantageous
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible work environment
