What You’ll Do
- Ensure personal and team safety by strictly following all safety protocols and enforcing safety standards.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for operations, understanding process flow, safety equipment, and chemical handling.
- Conduct routine inspections, monitor equipment, and perform visual and physical checks to keep operations running smoothly.
- Issue Safe Work Permits, perform gas testing, and manage process parameters to optimize production.
- Maintain accurate records of gauges, samples, and production data.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lubricating equipment, tightening valves, and changing filters.
- Coordinate logistics like oil sales and saltwater hauling to support operational flow.
- Monitor safety equipment, inspect critical valves, and troubleshoot field equipment using electronic testing tools.
- Support environmental compliance by executing work in accordance with environmental policies, including minimizing emissions and preventing spills.
- Promote continuous improvement and team collaboration, ensuring reliable attendance and an independent, proactive work ethic.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a related oil & gas operations role.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and be available for call-outs.
- Strong physical capacity to lift over 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and operate safety equipment like SCBA.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient in computer use and data recording.
- Effective team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate and repair surface equipment related to oil & gas production.
- Ability to work independently with a focus on safety and accuracy.
- College degree or technical/trade school certificates related to oil & gas.
- Experience with facility start-up or plant commissioning.
- Knowledge of process chemistry and safety permit systems.
- Familiarity with electronic monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Multicultural work experience and adaptability to diverse environments.
- High school diploma required; college or technical certification preferred.
- Previous hands-on experience in oil & gas production or facility operations.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Availability for emergency call-outs.
