Role Description The Aftercare Associate is a full-time, on-site position located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This role involves supervising students in the after-school program, ensuring their safety and well-being, and maintaining a structured, supportive environment. Daily responsibilities include organizing age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework or quiet study, facilitating positive social interactions, and managing transitions such as sign-in and pick-up procedures. The Aftercare Associate will communicate regularly with families and school staff, follow school policies and procedures, and help maintain clean and orderly program spaces. This role contributes to the School’s mission by fostering respect, responsibility, and community-minded behavior during after-school hours.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth in educational, camp, or childcare settings, with the ability to supervise groups and engage students positively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, families, and colleagues, including clear, professional verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, inclusive, and structured environment, including basic behavior management, conflict resolution, and adherence to school policies.
- Organizational and time-management skills for coordinating daily activities, managing transitions, and maintaining accurate attendance and sign-out records.
- Reliability and professionalism, including punctuality, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate as part of a team supporting the School’s mission and values.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in education, child development, or related field is preferred.
