The Bend is seeking a Math Tutor to support middle and high school scholars as they build confidence and proficiency in math. This role helps scholars not only master key skills but also see the beauty and order of God’s creation reflected in mathematics.
Responsibilities:
• Provide tutoring in math subjects from Pre-Algebra through Calculus.
• Support scholars in assignments, test preparation, and understanding of core concepts.
• Communicate progress and areas of growth with families and The Bend team.
• Encourage problem-solving, persistence, and logical thinking within a Biblical worldview.
• Model patience, integrity, and encouragement in all interactions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in Math, Education, or related field.
• Experience working with middle and/or high school students.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and willingness to integrate faith into teaching.
