Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Group Sales Manager role based at The Ben Hotel in Palm Beach, FL. The Group Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing group business, including corporate, leisure, and social group segments. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, responding to group leads and RFPs, preparing proposals and contracts, and conducting site visits and client meetings. The role involves collaborating closely with revenue management, catering, and operations teams to maximize group revenue, optimize room blocks, and ensure seamless event execution. The Group Sales Manager will also track performance against sales goals, maintain accurate records in the CRM system, and represent the hotel at local and industry events to build and sustain client relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel group sales or a similar hospitality sales role, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrated ability in prospecting, account management, and closing group business, ideally within lifestyle or upscale hotel brands.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple group leads, contracts, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and partners.
- Proficiency with sales and CRM systems, Microsoft Office suite, and comfort working with reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively with revenue management, events, and operations teams to deliver high-quality group experiences.
- Knowledge of the West Palm Beach or South Florida market and established local or regional business contacts is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, and events based on business needs.
