Clinical Psychologist – Behavioral Health and Addiction Services
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Full Time | 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM | 40 hours per week

Salary Range: $95,000 to $115,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
Overview:
The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is a premier behavioral health and addiction treatment facility in Philadelphia. We provide inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient mental health services, and substance use disorder programs. Our trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally responsive approach serves a diverse patient population throughout the region.
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist (Licensed or License-Eligible) to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Newly licensed psychologists and recent post-doctoral graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy to diverse patient populations
- Conduct psychological assessments, including projective, intelligence, and neuropsychological screenings
- Lead therapy groups on trauma, anger management, recovery, relapse prevention, and social skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams on care planning and discharge coordination
- Supervise and mentor psychology interns and practicum students
- Document clinical services accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, and program development initiatives
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology from an accredited program
- Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania or license-eligible (supervision provided)
- APA-accredited internship preferred but not required
- Experience in mental health, behavioral health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and psychotherapy skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Familiarity with Philadelphia’s behavioral health system and community resources
- Prior experience in inpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment, or dual-diagnosis programs
