What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operation Assistant position at The Behavior Project?
We are looking for an Operation Assistant to join our team and provide support to our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a recreational setting, and will be able to assist with the planning and implementation of activities that are fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. The Operation Assistant is a supporting member of the operations team that assists in the execution, organization, and compliance of ongoing activities and projects required for ease of day-to-day operation.
Responsibilities:
- Hours: Monday-Friday 12pm-5pm
- Sanitize toys and space to ensure clean environment
- Ensure toys/activities are all in working order, minor fixing
- Running supplies as requested to team (paper towels, toilet paper, diaper, wipes, etc)
- Provide bathroom breaks
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and aesthetic standards of entire clinic
- Frequent activity rotation in all learning areas
- Count, restock, and maintain organization of inventory, quick access storage closet, and bathrooms
- Maintenance of all storage organization
- Checking to make sure all outlets are covered
- Cleaning scuffs on walls when new paint is done
- First aid kit is checked and dated
- Throw away food left in fridge on Monday prior to opening and physically cleaning the inside of the fridge
- Identification and alerting manager of damages
- Cleaning spills (bodily fluids/solids, food, drink, paint, supplies)
- Creating program materials as required by clinical team
- Preparing new employee onboarding packets
- Scanning & shredding of employee and client paperwork
- Support person for "special events/holidays" (items needed for outings/events, birthdays, graduations, holiday prep and tear down of staff room food, preparing trick or treat, etc.
- Picking up "pick up" orders
- Picture documentation of what is happening within the program (activities, events, etc)
- Cleaning ball pit balls
- SPECIAL PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED
Expectations:
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds up and down stairs
- Is able to use tools (such a drill, hammer, etc)
- Present, punctual, and positive during all hours of operation.
- Time off is requested no later than 2 weeks before first date requested off
- Demonstrates accountability for own actions, decisions and contributions
- Provides helpful, responsive and professional interaction and feedback at all times
- Provides client and family centered customer service
- Applies sound judgement to support a safe, healthy and productive learning environment
- Communicates verbal and written information effectively and professionally
- Cooperates and works effectively with others to best serve clients and families
- Identifies ways to contribute to the The Behavior Project goals and overall facility needs and takes action to complete
- Completes all tasks and activities with extreme attention to detail
- Budgets, schedules and manages own time in order to fulfill priorities effectively and efficiently
- Knows and abides by all TBP policies and procedures.
- Ensures a clean, safe, attractive and functional working and learning environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
