Position Overview
We are seeking part-time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our after-school program. This position is perfect for passionate professionals who enjoy working with children and want to learn more about the science of behavior.
As an RBT at The Behavior Place, you’ll deliver individualized ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and make a meaningful difference in each child’s life.
Schedule
- Part-time (10–20 hours/week)
- Afternoon/evening shifts between 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (hours vary)
- Monday through Friday (flexible scheduling available)
Responsibilities
- Provide ABA therapy to children in 1:1 and small group settings
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA
- Collect accurate data on client progress using electronic data systems
- Support children with daily routines, social skills, communication, and independence
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
- Required: Complete the 40 RBT course approved by the BACB prior to employment. All RBTs are required to have their RBT certification within 90 days of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred)
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental delays
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet state/federal requirements

Compensation
- Hourly rate: $20–$25/hour (depending on experience and credentials)
