Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) to provide ABA therapy to clients in Yonkers, NY. Under the supervision of a BCBA, you will implement individualized behavior plans, collect data, and support skill development in areas such as socialization, communication, and daily living skills across home, school, and community settings. Candidates should have prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and be motivated to pursue growth within the field of ABA.

Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by BCBAs to improve social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Provide 1-on-1 support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home, school, and community settings.
- Collect and accurately document data on client progress and behavior during each session.
- Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust and refine interventions based on data and client needs.
- Support and train families or caregivers to understand and reinforce behavior techniques.
- Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to encourage skill development.
- Maintain professional communication with BCBAs, families, and other care team members.
- Ensure a safe environment by implementing de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies as needed.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
- At least six months of experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities (ABA experience a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients, families, and team members.
- Reliable transportation to travel between service locations (if needed).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
