Position Summary: We are seeking a Pipe Roll Apprentice, to join our team. The Pipe Roll Apprentice will assist in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems. Under the guidance of experienced pipe roll technicians and supervisors, the apprentice will gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to become a proficient pipe roll technician. The role involves learning and performing various tasks related to pipe rolling, cutting, fitting, and ensuring the integrity of piping systems.
Primary Duties:
- Support in measuring, cutting, bending, and rolling pipes according to specifications and blueprints.
- Help in the installation of pipes, fittings, and related components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Participate in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of existing pipe systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe-rolling machinery under supervision. Learn proper handling, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
- Assist in documenting work performed, including measurements, materials used, and any issues encountered. Report progress and challenges to supervisors.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training to develop technical skills and knowledge related to pipe rolling and installation.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of hand tools and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Prior experience in construction, mechanical work, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
