JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to assist with tarping lumber loads and maintaining cleanliness throughout the sawmill. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe transportation of materials and maintaining a clean, organized mill environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely and securely throw and fasten tarps over outgoing lumber trucks

Ensure loads are properly covered and compliant with transportation standards

Operate a sweeper machine to clean sawdust, wood debris, and other materials throughout the mill

Maintain cleanliness of yard areas, loading zones, and production spaces

Assist with general yard duties as needed

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Qualifications:
-
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, pulling, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions

Comfortable working at elevated heights

Comfortable working in an industrial sawmill/lumber mill environment

Ability to operate equipment safely (previous sweeper or heavy equipment experience preferred)

Strong attention to safety

Dependable with strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Outdoor and indoor mill environment

Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions

Requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting throughout shift
