Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system- SpotOn, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items by recommending popular dishes, beverages, or specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage tables efficiently by bussing and resetting as needed to maintain a clean and inviting environment
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and proper food safety procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Spot On, process payments, and provide correct change while maintaining excellent cash handling practices
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food prep or other restaurant duties as required
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, and restaurant policies to provide expert guidance to guests
Requirements
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Familiarity with Spot On is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that promotes guest satisfaction
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and cash handling accuracy
- Previous experience in serving roles such as host/host or bartender is beneficial
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity can enhance your ability to assist in various restaurant functions
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members alike
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a lively hospitality environment
