Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring their satisfaction with every visit.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, smoothie, and energy beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; restock as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to create a positive experience.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to help customers effectively.
- Experience in food service or retail environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for coffee and beverage preparation, with an eagerness to learn more about the craft.
