The Beach Party Co. is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Beach Picnic Setup Assistant to help create beautiful luxury picnic experiences.
All event setups take place directly on the beach, so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and doesn’t mind sand, heat, wind, and physical activity.
This is a part-time, on-call position scheduled based on confirmed event bookings. Most events take place on North Padre Island, Corpus Christi beaches (such as JP Luby Beach), and Port Aransas.
Applicants who live near the island or surrounding beach areas are strongly preferred to ensure timely arrival and efficient event setup.
This role involves unloading décor, setting up curated beach picnic experiences, arranging décor, and ensuring each setup looks picture-perfect for clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up luxury picnic experiences on the beach
- Unload décor, tables, rugs, pillows, and styling elements from trailer
- Arrange and style setups according to provided photos and instructions
- Work efficiently on sand and outdoor terrain
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of materials
- Assist with breakdown and packing after events
- Ensure setups meet brand presentation standards
- Work as part of a team to complete setups on time
Requirements
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be comfortable working directly on the beach (sand, heat, wind, humidity)
- Living near North Padre Island, Corpus Christi beach areas, or Port Aransas is strongly preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be comfortable with physical work (lifting, walking on sand, bending, carrying items)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow setup diagrams and instructions
- Weekend availability required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Event setup or hospitality experience
- Experience working outdoors
- Experience with décor or styling
- Restaurant, catering, or event experience
- Familiarity with beach or outdoor environments
Schedule
This is an on-call position scheduled based on event bookings.
Typical shifts:
- 2–4 hours per event
- Primarily weekends
- Occasional weekday events
- No guaranteed minimum hours
Work Locations
All setups take place directly on the beach, typically at:
- JP Luby Beach (Corpus Christi)
- North Padre Island beaches
- Port Aransas beaches
Travel between storage location and event site may be required.
