JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Production Coordinator
Department: Weekend ServicesReports To: Production Manager
Purpose of the Position
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all production operations at The Bayou Church.
This role ensures every service, event, and production environment is technically prepared, operationally organized, and executed with excellence. The Production Coordinator is a highly skilled AVL technician who enjoys solving problems, implementing systems, and making ministry happen behind the scenes.
Essential Responsibilities
Weekend & Event Execution
- Prepare all production environments for weekend services, rehearsals, special events, and ministry gatherings.
- Serve as the primary technical operator for services and events as assigned.
- Coordinate technical logistics with ministry leaders and event owners through our Production Request Form system.
- Troubleshoot technical issues before, during, and after services.
- Ensure production spaces and storage rooms remain clean, organized, and fully prepared.
Technical Operations
Maintain and troubleshoot all production systems including:
- Audio systems
- Video systems
- Lighting systems
- Broadcast systems
- IMAG
- Projectors and displays
- Networking
- Production computers
- Stage equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and communicate larger system concerns to the Production Manager.
Production Preparation
- Build and maintain ProPresenter presentations for weekend services and special events
- Assist with production programming for lighting, video, and broadcast systems.
- Prepare stage layouts and production elements.
- Maintain production documentation and operational checklists.
- Assist with seasonal stage installations and environmental changes.
Serve Team Support
- Assist the Production Manager in onboarding and equipping new team members.
- Train Serve Team members on equipment operation and ministry procedures.
- Provide coaching during rehearsals and services
Organization & Stewardship
- Maintain equipment inventory.
- Keep production booths, storage areas, and workspaces organized.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
- Order replacement supplies within budget.
- Assist with AVL installations, upgrades, and production projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with professional AVL systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable training Serve Team in technical skills.
