Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty botanical beverages with precision and flair
- Handle food preparation tasks including serving baked goods, snacks, and light meals while adhering to food safety standards
- Operate POS systems. We use Clover. Handle transactions efficiently and accurately
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations for sales and change with confidence
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, tables, counters, and equipment
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth workflow
Requirements
- Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
- Experience with POS systems like clover is desirable
- Experience in Kava industry highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of retail math for sales processing and cash handling tasks
