Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces
- Handle trash removal and recycling duties efficiently to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist with light custodial duties like window washing, dusting, and surface sanitization
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
- Use industrial cleaning tools and techniques for specialized tasks such as carpet cleaning or deep sanitation
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Experience with industrial cleaning methods and equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
