Responsibilities:

-Learn and provide basic training, enrichment, and play activities 1:1 with dogs
- Supervise and monitor dogs in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Engage in playtime activities with the dogs, providing exercise and mental stimulation
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent conflicts or ensure a safe play environment
- Interact with pet owners, providing updates on their dog's behavior and overall well-being

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Interest in learning about dog behavior, body language, and breeds.
  • Interest in learning and applying positive reinforcement techniques to manage dog behaviors while in our care.
  • Must be reliable

  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and be physically active throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, safely leash walk dogs up to 120 lbs, may need to lift, carry, stoop down.
  • Able to work at least 16 hours/week during the following hours: M-Su 8am-4pm (hours will vary). Must be available weekends and holidays, as needed.

Job Description:

  • Participating in enrichment activities with dogs 1:1 according to the latest science-based dog behavior and training knowledge received during training. This includes playing with dogs, engaging in enrichment activities, brushing, petting, holding, crating, leashing, collaring, cleaning up after dogs, etc.
  • Works well as a team member with others and management.
  • Helps to ensure that customer satisfaction is consistently obtained. Helps to support the efficient and effective operation of the facility including our mission to provide Whole Dog Care and Enrichment to all dogs in our care daily. Helps to maintain the highest standards in the delivery of all services. Is directly responsible for duties as assigned by management.
  • Is directly responsible for always maintaining a clean and safe environment for the dogs in our care. Is directly responsible for providing and documenting the appropriate information about individual dogs per the facilities communication policies.
  • Responsible for reading and knowing all company policies and procedures.

  • Customer Service: Experience in customer service is valued, particularly when interacting with clients and addressing their concerns or needs.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to assess situations and make thoughtful decisions quickly to ensure the safety and comfort of the dogs in your care.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with fellow staff members in a supportive, dynamic environment.
  • Coachability: Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and apply new skills and techniques.
  • Listening Skills: Strong listening skills to understand both client needs and dog behavior.
  • Personal Accountability: Responsible for your actions, punctuality, and the care you provide to the dogs.
