Do you love working outdoors and take pride in maintaining beautiful spaces? The Barefoot Trail - Flagstaff is seeking a dedicated part-time Park Maintenance Technician to help care for our manicured trail and park — with a strong focus on landscaping and groundskeeping.
What is The Barefoot Trail? We are an all ages, outdoor adventure park focused on grounding and foot reflexology. Bringing a new concept to Flagstaff, Arizona!
Have you always wanted to know what it feels like to walk around barefoot in the great outdoors? Use all your senses while barefoot to experience this manicured 1-mile trail walking through dirt, mud, water, sand, stone, and rocks. Try out the adventure stations along the way and challenge your mind and body while grounding!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Park Maintenance Supervisor with all duties and work as a team in the morning to prepare the park before it opens at 8am.
- Perform general landscape maintenance: sweeping, rock removal, raking, trimming, watering, and assist the supervisor with building unique trail segments from time to time.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the trail by making sure all rocks and debris are removed.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
- Trash and debris removal; maintain clean, safe park grounds.
- Assist in seasonal tasks such as pine cone and needle removal, and event setup.
- Report hazards, damages, or maintenance needs to supervisor. Conduct routine safety inspections and hazards before they become issues.
- Assist in the performance of a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, requires some experience in woodworking, concrete, plumbing, and electrical
- Keep park restrooms, picnic areas, trails, and playgrounds in top condition for visitors
- Be ready to improvise when traditional solutions won’t cut it!
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- 1 years of landscaping, groundskeeping, or park maintenance experience (preferred).
- Valid driver's license; clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, operate power tools/equipment, and work in varying weather conditions.
