Job Summary:
As a Business Development Specialist (BDS), you’ll be at the forefront of business sales, identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives. This position involves researching market trends, generating leads, compiling proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve revenue goals. The BDS works to expand the company’s reach, establish partnerships, and enhance overall business performance through innovative strategies and targeted outreach. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to increase your earnings through a competitive commission structure, rewarding your success in driving sales and achieving targets. The ideal candidate is a driven professional with a passion for building connections, solving problems, and contributing to organizational success. This position will work with Core Team to procure $1 – 2 M in sales for clients locally and domestically. This is a
hybrid environment (with work from TBG office site 2 days a week and remotely).
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, networking, and lead generation
• Compile request for proposals (RFPs) for business opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to client needs
• Track and report on business development activities, including lead conversions and revenue targets
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company’s presence and
network
• Support the development and execution of strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must have prior experience in the healthcare industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships
- Basic understanding of market research and data analysis
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking events, or trade shows
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales, particularly in a specific industry or sector relevant to the company
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or growth targets
- Advanced knowledge of business development strategies and sales techniques
- Expertise in using data-driven approaches for decision-making and market analysis
- Proven experience in proficiency in creating and delivering high-impact presentations and proposals
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close complex deals
- Familiarity with the company’s specific market or industry, including trends, competitors, and opportunities
- Experience with advanced CRM tools, data visualization platforms, and marketing automation software
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools
- Ability to contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth efforts
- Certification in sales or business development (e.g., Certified Sales Professional, Business Development Certification)

Working Conditions: The Business Development Specialist may work in an office or from a remote location. The Business Development Specialist will also travel locally and sometimes nationally to meet and work with potential clients. The Business Development Specialist may conduct Zoom or virtual meetings with clients and team members. The Business Development Specialist may work after traditional work hours to attend functions and represent TBG in various meetings and events.
Physical Demands: The Business Development Specialist may spend extended periods of time sitting or standing in front of a computer. The Business Development Specialist may also be required to travel, which may involve sitting for extended periods of time in a car or airplane.
Salary and Benefits: The salary and benefits for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits may include healthcare, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday (generally 8:30am – 5:00pm; 40 hours per week) with some meetings and events after business hours.
