Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an exceptional experience from order to completion.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of beverage recipes, ingredients, and presentation standards; develop new drink recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for processing cash transactions, tabs, and payments while ensuring accuracy.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures for beverages and food items; ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area at all times.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy hours or special events such as banquets or catering functions.
- Process cash handling accurately while maintaining accountability for all transactions.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple guests efficiently during peak hours without compromising quality or service standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or catering events.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Shift4 POS; experience with beverage recipe development is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in mixology techniques, spirits knowledge, wine selection, craft beer handling, and cocktail creation.
- Prior food service experience with an understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working with diverse clientele in hospitality settings; nightclub or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales, tips, and cash handling accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days in a lively hospitality environment.
