HRIS Implementation & Administration
- Support end-to-end HRIS implementation projects for clients, including needs assessment, system selection, configuration, testing, and go-live support
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Rippling, BambooHR, UKG, Paylocity) and guide clients through adoption
- Develop data migration plans, auditing data integrity during transitions between legacy systems and new platforms
- Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials for client HR teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve system configuration issues, working with vendors as needed
- Support integrations between HRIS and payroll, benefits, ATS, and other HR tech solutions
- Provide general HR support across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, and performance management processes
- Process end-to-end payroll for multiple client organizations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Manage payroll-related activities including new hire setup, terminations, garnishments, direct deposit changes, off-cycle payrolls, and year-end processing (W-2s, ACA reporting)
- Reconcile payroll registers and resolve discrepancies in coordination with client finance and accounting teams
- Coordinate and assist with annual open enrollment for client organizations, including system configuration, employee communications, carrier file feeds, and eligibility audits
- Support day-to-day benefits administration including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, COBRA notifications, and vendor billing reconciliation
- Serve as a resource for employees and HR teams on benefits plan questions, coverage details, and escalations to carriers or brokers
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures tailored to client needs
- Manage and maintain accurate HR records and reporting for multiple client accounts
- Assist clients with job description development, compensation benchmarking, and organizational structure documentation
- Monitor federal, state, and local employment law updates and proactively communicate regulatory changes to clients in the banking and financial services sector
- Conduct HR compliance audits and assessments, identifying gaps and developing remediation plans with particular attention to financial industry regulatory requirements
- Ensure client HR practices align with applicable laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, EEOC guidelines, and state-specific labor laws
- Assist clients with I-9 compliance, record retention policies, and EEO-1 reporting
- Support Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) development, annual updates, and reporting, including workforce utilization analysis, availability data, and goal-setting in accordance with OFCCP requirements
- Support development of workplace investigation frameworks and documentation practices
- Assist clients in navigating HR compliance requirements specific to banking and financial services
- Help clients prepare for and respond to audits from regulatory agencies
- Manage multiple client workstreams simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deliverable deadlines
- Prepare client-ready presentations, reports, project status updates, and recommendations
- Participate in client calls and meetings to gather requirements and provide project updates
- Collaborate with senior consultants and principals to deliver integrated HR solutions
Qualifications
Required
- 3 years of HR experience, with at least 1-2 years of direct HRIS implementation or administration experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of core HR functions including talent management, benefits, payroll processes, and employee relations
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Experience with one or more HRIS platforms (Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Rippling, BambooHR, Paylocity, UKG, or similar)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex HR concepts clearly
- Hands-on payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll, garnishments, and year-end reporting (W-2, ACA)
- Experience supporting or administering employee benefits programs, including open enrollment coordination and carrier/vendor management
- Prior HR experience in banking, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry strongly preferred
- HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Experience with Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) preparation, maintenance, and OFCCP reporting
- Familiarity with federal contractor compliance obligations and OFCCP audit processes
- Experience in an HR consulting, professional employer organization (PEO), or multi-client environment
- Knowledge of HR considerations specific to banks, credit unions, investment firms, or insurance companies (e.g., background screening requirements, licensing, bonding)
- Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Exposure to HRIS vendor selection processes
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work product
