Relationship Banker

Position Summary

Relationship Bankers are the first point of contact in the financial center, delivering exceptional customer experience and providing tailored financial solutions to meet everyday banking needs. The role combines relationship building, consultative conversations, and operational excellence to support branch growth and customer satisfaction. For experienced candidates, the Relationship Banker II level focuses on deepening and retaining relationships through proactive outreach and skilled handling of more complex interactions and escalations.

Customer Experience & Relationship Building

· Deliver a welcoming, professional customer experience in every interaction (in-person, phone, and digital).

· Build rapport, identify customer needs, and connect customers with the right solutions and product experts.

· Handle service requests accurately and resolve issues with ownership, empathy, and follow-through.

Consultative Solutions & Referral Discipline

· Proactively identify opportunities to deepen relationships through needs-based recommendations and referrals.

· Participate in outbound outreach (e.g., birthday and 2X2X2 customer contact) to strengthen relationships.

· Develop and maintain strong knowledge of BSV products and services across deposits, loans, and digital banking.

Account Opening, Servicing & Operations

· Complete consumer (and, for advanced roles, business) account opening processes with thorough review and accuracy.

· Complete assigned tasks in nCino accurately and on time; support account and CIF maintenance and workflow processes.

· Independently complete branch operational procedures and daily/monthly checklists; identify and respond to potential fraud appropriately.

Community Engagement

· Represent BSV positively and professionally as a Brand Ambassador in the community.

· Participate in bank-sponsored or approved community events and outreach activities.

Required

· Demonstrated customer service and relationship-building capability with strong communication and listening skills.

· Comfort learning and using core banking systems and digital tools.

Preferred

· Prior retail banking experience (teller/banker) and familiarity with consultative conversations and referrals.

· Experience with account opening workflows (consumer and/or business) and task management.

· Ability to confidently handle complex customer interactions and escalations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Retail Sales: 2 years (Required)
• Banking: 1 year (Preferred)
