What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at The Bando ATL?
The Bando ATL is a food and culture restaurant in Atlanta, and we are hiring a full-time Security Officer to keep our guests, our team, and our property safe. We are open to both armed and unarmed officers. This is a role for an experienced professional who can stay calm, read a room, and handle problems before they escalate.

What you will do
- Maintain a visible, professional presence at the entrance and throughout the restaurant during service
- Monitor the dining area, the line, and the parking and exterior areas for safety concerns
- De-escalate conflicts with guests calmly and respectfully, using force only as a last resort
- Enforce house rules and remove disruptive individuals when necessary
- Support the team during opening and closing, including cash handling escorts when needed
- Write clear incident reports and communicate issues to management right away
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when a situation requires it
Requirements (all are required)
- At least 3 years of professional security experience
- Proven experience de-escalating conflicts in a public-facing setting such as a restaurant, bar, venue, or retail store
- If you will work armed: every license and permit the State of Georgia requires to carry a firearm on duty, current and available to show at the interview
- A steady, consistent work history that you can explain and that we can verify with references
- Full-time availability Wednesday through Sunday, including weekends
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- The ability to stand and walk for a full shift
Punctuality is not optional here. Being on time for every shift is a condition of this job. Our team and our guests depend on security being in place before the doors open. If you have a history of lateness or missed shifts, this is not the right role for you.
