Cake Decorator

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with experience in food production and preparation. As a Cake Decorator, you will play a vital role in creating beautiful and delicious cakes for our customers, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

Must have experience in a real bakery setting. Will not consider experience baking at home.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes using various techniques to create visually appealing designs that meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to prepare and package baked goods efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist in the production of baked goods, including mixing, baking, and cooling processes.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards before they are delivered or displayed.
• Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing your culinary skills in various settings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cake decorating, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices within the kitchen environment.
• Previous experience in food production or preparation is preferred.
• Strong culinary skills, including baking and knife skills.
• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills, including intermediate piping techniques and the ability to create decorative flowers and borders.
• A passion for the food industry and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
