Essential Functions:
- Ensuring that abuse and neglect concerns are appropriately reported and immediate actions are taken to ensure child safety.
- Provide Kinship Navigators with regular supervision of staff (individually twice per month and group once per month), documentation review, and direct observation of service provision. Interviewing, hiring, training and supporting Kinship Navigators in the responsibilities of their positions, lead staff meetings.
- Implementation of all applicable state regulations, contract requirements, COA requirements and The Bair Foundation’s policies and procedures for the office.
- Facilitating Kinship Navigator Advisory Committee (KNAC) meetings.
- Responsible for connecting with resource providers throughout the state to ensure their availability to accept new clients and the agency data within the Kinship Navigator database.
- Ensure that the website and databases are maintained and current and that all trainings are available through the website.
- Conduct research to identify solutions to answers for kinship family needs.
- Able to input information into the electronic databases
Job Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work or related field
- 2 years of experience in the field of Child Welfare and 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
