Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that their experience is enjoyable and efficient. This role involves cash handling, food service, and maintaining a clean and organized counter area.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Making bagels and sandwiches.
- Operate the Clover POS system for processing transactions.
- Handle cash and credit transactions with precision.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and dining area.
- Prepare food items as needed, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the café or grocery store setting.
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is a must.
- Experience with food service operations is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance customer experience.
- Knowledge of the Clover POS system is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
