What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Architect position at The Axel Group, LLC?
The ideal candidate will lead architectural projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring the integrity of the design and overall quality are upheld throughout all phases. You will oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, manage teams and consultants while showcase strong design, technical, and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring design intent and quality are maintained.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in technical and design development.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Produce and oversee the preparation of construction documents.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Architectural license required.
- 5–10 years of professional experience in architecture.
- Demonstrated experience with multifamily residential or similar project types.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and detailing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED accreditation or interest in sustainable design.
- Experience with mixed-use, affordable housing, or large-scale developments.
- Ability to foster client relationships and contribute to business development.
