Are you ready to build something extraordinary from the ground up? We are opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art long-term care facility in Holland, Michigan—and we’re looking for a visionary Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the charge.
This is more than a leadership role. It’s your chance to recruit, develop, and inspire your own nursing team, shape the clinical culture, and establish the gold standard for resident care from day one.
What You’ll Do:
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team:
- Recruit, hire, and onboard a brand-new team of nursing professionals.
- Create a culture of compassion, accountability, and clinical excellence.
- Mentor and develop staff through orientation, in-service education, and ongoing coaching.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align goals, share feedback, and celebrate wins.
Implement Clinical Systems and Policies:
- Implement company nursing policies, procedures, and care standards tailored to the new facility.
- Establish workflows for admissions, assessments, care planning, and documentation.
- Oversee the implementation of MDS schedules and reimbursement systems from the start.
Drive Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with Michigan state and federal regulations.
- Analyze quality metrics and implement proactive strategies for improvement.
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure adherence to the Resident’s Bill of Rights.
Collaborate and Innovate:
- Work closely with the Administrator and department heads to align clinical and operational goals.
- Coordinate with hospitals, discharge planners, and community partners to support smooth transitions of care.
- Participate in budget planning and manage nursing operations efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
- A valid Michigan RN license in good standing
- Proven leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Strong knowledge of Michigan nursing regulations, clinical systems, and quality standards.
- A passion for team-building, resident-centered care, and clinical innovation.
