About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Avante Inverness. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting good health practices.
Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and their medical records to diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.) to inform treatment decisions
- Prescribe medications and propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Maintain accurate records and schedules to ensure seamless patient care
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention
- Oversee patients' overall health and well-being
- Promote good health practices and advance professional knowledge through research
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a skilled nursing facility, with a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
- Expertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic care practices
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics and a positive attitude
- Patience and cool-headedness
- Valid nurse practitioner license
