Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, The Automotive Marketing Group (AMG) is a full-service advertising agency specializing in the automotive industry. We combine strategy, creative, media, analytics, and technology to help automotive clients grow in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
We are currently looking for an experienced Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team and grow with our company.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, technically capable, resourceful, and passionate about digital marketing. You should have significant hands-on experience developing digital advertising strategies, managing multiple clients and campaigns, analyzing performance data, optimizing toward measurable results, and staying ahead of changes across search, social, AI, analytics, and digital advertising.
This is a senior-level, hands-on position. You will work across multiple digital platforms while also communicating directly with, vendors, creative teams, and internal leadership.
Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred, but we are also interested in candidates from other fast-paced, performance-driven industries who can bring strong digital marketing and analytics expertise to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, manage, and optimize digital advertising strategies across Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, Display, Digital Video, Email, Chat GPT and other digital platforms
- Build and optimize Google Search, Performance Max (PMAX), Display, YouTube, and other Google Ads campaigns
- Manage campaign budgets, pacing, bidding strategies, targeting, audiences, creative assets, and conversion goals
- Monitor campaign performance and continually test and optimize campaigns to improve conversions, cost efficiency, and overall results
- Assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiatives
- Help develop and implement strategies surrounding AI visibility, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and visibility within AI-powered search and answer platforms
- Stay current on emerging AI advertising opportunities and help evaluate, implement, and manage platforms such as ChatGPT Ads and other AI-driven advertising products
- Create, maintain, test, and troubleshoot website tags, pixels, conversions, and tracking implementations
- Work extensively with Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and platform-specific conversion tracking
- Develop and maintain custom events, key events, conversion actions, and measurement strategies, including Automotive Standards Council Events (ASC)
- Work with website providers and third-party vendors to troubleshoot tracking and conversion issues
- Monitor and analyze website traffic, user behavior, campaign attribution, and conversion performance
- Build reports and dashboards using GA4, Looker Studio, Google Ads, Meta, and other reporting platforms
- Translate campaign and analytics data into meaningful recommendations for clients
- Communicate directly with clients regarding campaign strategy, performance, opportunities, and recommendations
- Manage and evaluate digital vendors, including reviewing products, capabilities, tracking methodologies, performance, and integrations
- Stay current on legal, privacy, manufacturer, and automotive advertising compliance requirements
- Work closely with graphic designers and other creative team members to develop effective digital advertising assets
- Develop presentations and proposals for clients and prospective clients
- Manage multiple projects, clients, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Continually research emerging digital marketing technologies, advertising platforms, measurement solutions, AI tools, and industry trends
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, Advertising, Analytics, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Approximately 4 years of hands-on digital advertising and/or digital marketing experience preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of Google Ads, including Search and Performance Max (PMAX)
- Strong understanding of paid search strategy, keyword management, bidding strategies, audiences, conversion optimization, and campaign structure
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager
- Strong understanding of digital conversion tracking, attribution, tagging, pixels, events, and UTM parameters
- Experience analyzing campaign performance and making data-driven optimization recommendations
- Experience managing multiple campaigns, accounts, clients, and budgets simultaneously
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly explain digital marketing performance and technical concepts
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is highly valuable:
- Automotive digital marketing or automotive advertising
- Automotive Standards Council (ASC) Key Events, including familiarity with automotive website conversion events, vendor integrations, and measurement

- Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience evaluating and managing digital marketing vendors
Google Ads, Analytics, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus, but demonstrated hands-on experience and the ability to produce results are more important than certifications alone.

We are looking for someone who doesn’t simply launch campaigns and monitor dashboards. The right person wants to understand why performance changed, how tracking works, where opportunities are being missed, and what we can do next to improve results.
You should be comfortable digging into data, troubleshooting technical issues, testing new strategies, learning new platforms, communicating with vendors, and presenting recommendations.
