Responsibilities
- Assist in leasing efforts by conducting property tours, upselling available units, and processing applications efficiently using Yardi or OneSite property management software.
- Support compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other federal, state, and local housing laws.
- Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries promptly via phone and in person, resolving conflicts professionally, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests with facilities management teams and ensure timely resolution to uphold property standards.
- Handle legal administrative tasks including lease agreements, contracts, filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Assist in rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and reporting using Yardi or similar property management tools.
- Support property marketing efforts through effective leasing strategies and upselling amenities or services to prospective and current residents.
- Maintain office organization including filing documents, managing correspondence, and ensuring compliance with legal administrative procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with multifamily housing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, and contracts.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or Entrata; experience with CMMS systems is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Office experience including filing, record keeping, and administrative support is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on upselling amenities or lease terms to prospective residents.
- Knowledge of facilities management practices related to property maintenance and general site operations.
