Role Overview
Seeking an experienced physician leader to provide clinical and administrative leadership at a primary care and HIV-focused outpatient site. The role is split between clinical responsibilities (50%) and administrative duties (50%). You'll oversee medical staff, support operational improvements, guide provider performance, and collaborate with nursing, care coordination, and behavioral health teams. The position involves visibility on-site, clinical supervision, quality initiatives, and provider development. Opportunity to participate in a future internal medicine residency program launching in 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily medical operations and clinical providers.
- Deliver primary care and maintain a patient panel.
- Lead quality improvement efforts and monitor provider performance.
- Collaborate with site leadership to improve workflows and patient outcomes.
- Supervise, recruit, and onboard medical staff.
- Represent leadership in meetings and planning sessions.
- Ensure compliance with policies, protocols, and performance goals.
Qualifications
- MD or DO licensed in New York State.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare.
- 3–5 years of clinical experience in primary care or community health.
- Background in HIV care and infectious disease preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital transfers, FQHC regulations, and Epic EMR.
- HIV certification and Medicare/Medicaid numbers preferred.
