Job Title: Contract Tutor / Learning Coach (Elementary, Student-Athlete Academy)
Location: Life Time Frisco (on-site; limited remote deliverables)
Role:
- Coding Tutor — Mon–Thu, 4–7 pm. Experience with grades 2–8. Scratch or block-based a plus.
Engagement Type: Contract (1099)
Compensation:
- $20–$30 per on-site session (60 minutes)
- $50 per approved Weekly Admin Pack (remote deliverable)
- Invoiced bi-weekly
About the Engagement
The Athletic Collegiate (TAC) partners with independent tutors/learning coaches to support elementary learners as they complete coursework using the Laurel Springs School LMS before their daily athletics.
We provide outcomes and site rules; you bring your own device and supplies. Work is offered via non-exclusive work orders, which you may accept or decline. No minimum hours are promised.
What You’ll Deliver
On-site academic session (60 minutes):
- Lead a small group to advance each student toward weekly Laurel Springs targets.
- Complete a clean handoff to athletics per site rules.
Weekly Admin Pack (remote, optional):
- End-of-week progress sweep vs. student targets.
- Mini-plan for each student for the following week.
- Concise family note outlining “done, next, needs.”
Live-class logistics (if ordered):
- Ensure timely student joins for live classes.
- Capture and communicate follow-ups for the student’s Laurel Springs teacher.
Substitution:
- You may substitute a qualified associate who has completed required background screening.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Texas teaching certificate a plus, but not required.
- Independent youth tutoring/teaching experience.
- Organized communicator with families; comfortable using online platforms and basic spreadsheets.
- Business entity or sole proprietor with W-9.
- Ability to work on-site within the offered Mon–Thu 8–11 a.m. and/or 4–7 p.m. windows.
- Strong small-group management and positive mentoring approach.
Site Rules and Safety (Conditions of Site Access)
- Maintain a learning-conducive environment appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Manage student conduct consistent with Life Time site rules.
- Document incidents and escalate per the site incident protocol.
- Take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities, including:
- Head counts at transitions.
- Securing devices and materials after sessions.
Engagement Terms
- Independent contractor (1099).
- No benefits.
- TAC does not dictate methods or hours.
- Work is not guaranteed and is offered through non-exclusive work orders.
- Payment is per accepted deliverable upon approval.
