HVAC / Plumbing Field Supervisor (Commercial) Up to $50/hour Overtime Excellent Benefits
Asteroid Operating Company is a growing, New Jersey-based Commercial and Residential Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Contractor seeking an experienced HVAC / Plumbing Field Supervisor to lead field operations and provide exceptional service to our commercial customers.
Primary Service Area: North Jersey (Hudson, Bergen, Essex, Union, Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon), with occasional work throughout Central and South Jersey. This position is primarily focused on our North Jersey market.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support HVAC and plumbing field technicians
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and oversee installation of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Assist with scheduling, field coordination, troubleshooting, and quality control
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and internal staff
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial HVAC/plumbing installation, service, and maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Boilers
- RTUs
- Chillers (air- and water-cooled)
- Heat pumps
- Mini-split systems
- Hydronic systems
- Controls and outdoor reset systems
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Comfortable using smartphones and tablets
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Electrical experience—including generators, controls, or EV chargers—is a plus.
