What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Product Development & Innovation position at the ASSURANCE group?
We are partnering with a Los Angeles–based consumer products platform across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle—incubating and growing emerging brands through strong innovation and commercialization capabilities—to identify a Director of Product Development & Innovation.
This is an onsite role based in the Los Angeles Area.
This is not a maintenance role—it’s a build-and-lead opportunity.
The right person will:
• Define and drive innovation strategy across multiple brands
• Translate insights and trends into commercially viable products
• Lead cross-functional teams from concept through commercialization
• Build systems and processes that make innovation scalable
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—ideal for someone who’s equally comfortable in early-stage ideation and bringing products to market
We are looking for:
• 8–10 years in product development and innovation leadership
• Strong commercial instincts and a proven track record of execution
• Experience working cross-functionally and managing external partners
• A builder mindset—someone who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
• Experience within skincare, beauty, or adjacent personal care categories strongly preferred
