The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our Development team in advancing our mission through dedicated support that builds relationships with our donors through Gift Processing services.

Essential Functions Of The Role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required: One year of general office experience. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to follow specific directions. Good communication skills including good grammar. Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred: Availability to work during periods when university is not in session, such as summers and holidays. Experience working with accounts receivable or cash receipts recognition.
Physical Capacity Requirements
Ability to work at a desk and use a computer, keyboard and monitor for significant portion of the workday. Lifting and carrying objects up to 10 pounds infrequently.

EDUCATION
Required: Student current enrolled at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Preferred: Currently enrolled in or already completed university courses in Accounting, Finance.

Essential Functions Of The Role
- Integrity and confidentiality.
- Accuracy.
- Customer Service.
- Basic analysis of numerical data.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Understand how The Association of Former Students supports Texas A&M University.
- Open mail, sort and code incoming gifts in preparation for posting checks.
- Modify constituent records in database, as indicated on gifts.
- Support routine check deposits.
- Maintain accurate records through scanning of gift-related documents.
- Prepare forms for mailing to employers with gift matching policies.
- Create reports for employer matches.
- Code electronic fund transfers (EFTs) and checks by looking up associated IDs and designations.
- Post matching gift EFTs and checks to database, including donor funds.
- Maintain accurate records during posting process to ensure reconciliation.
- Print envelopes for outgoing mail.
- Working with Development staff, assemble envelopes and prepare for mailing.
- Answer phone calls and assist with constituent questions
- Involvement with special projects on an as-needed basis.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.
