About the role:

AMT is seeking a Project Manager to support the successful execution of DoW / DoD project work awarded through an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) or similar federal project structure. This position is contingent on contract award. This is a mid-level project management role for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with technical teams, and able to manage schedule, deliverables, risks, communications, project documentation, and project administration in a disciplined way. In this role, the Project Manager will help ensure that AMT's project team executes on time, meets government-facing deliverable requirements, maintains clear internal and external communication, and keeps project documentation organized and audit-ready. This role will also support project financial administration, including tracking progress against milestones, coordinating cost and labor inputs, and assisting with invoice preparation and backup documentation for DoW / DoD review.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting defense, federal, government-funded, or technical projects and understands the importance of compliance, documentation, stakeholder responsiveness, and disciplined execution. Prior exposure to OTA projects, milestone-based deliverables, government reporting, or federal invoicing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

· Maintain the project schedule and coordinate work across milestones, deliverables, review timelines, and major workstreams.

· Coordinate kickoff meetings, internal team meetings, government status meetings, and project reviews, including agendas, notes, action trackers, decision logs, and follow-up materials.

· Support recurring technical, management, risk, and financial updates for government contacts, and maintain the project risk register with mitigation actions, owners, status, and escalation needs.

· Develop and maintain project plans, trackers, matrices, compliance documentation, and organized records to keep deliverables complete, timely, and traceable from scope through invoicing.

· Track labor, partner inputs, milestone completion, burn rate, budget status, and deliverable acceptance, and assist with invoice preparation, reconciliation, and coordination with finance, contracts, and leadership.

· Identify schedule, budget, staffing, data, and stakeholder risks early, help resolve them, and serve as a coordination point for government stakeholders, industry participants, and partners.

· Protect sensitive information and follow data handling, confidentiality, export control, and cybersecurity requirements while supporting briefing materials, dashboards, executive updates, and internal reports.

· Help improve AMT’s federal project management processes, templates, and reporting practices.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in business, finance, public policy, economics, supply chain, or a related field required.

· PMP certification

· Minimum of 4 years of project management, government contracting, defense project, consulting, research, manufacturing, or technical project experience preferred.

· Experience supporting federal, defense, OTA (Other Transactional Authorities) consortium-based, cooperative agreement, grant, or other government-funded projects, including milestone-based deliverables, government reporting, project compliance, or federal invoicing, strongly preferred.

· In order to be considered for this position, you must be a U.S Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to possible required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities. AMT will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams required. Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Asana, Power BI, or similar project management and reporting tools preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear meeting notes, status updates, briefings, and project documentation.

· Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage schedules, action items, deliverables, documentation, and competing deadlines.

· Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams that may include analysts, economists, data modelers, subject matter experts, finance staff, contract managers, and external partners.

· Experience supporting budget tracking, invoice preparation, milestone documentation, or financial reconciliation preferred.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

· Ability to understand technical and business topics related to manufacturing, supply chains, industrial capacity, defense industrial base resilience, or market research. Deep technical expertise is not required, but interest in manufacturing technology is important.

Full Time Benefits: This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role with an initial term of 12 to 15 months; it concludes upon project completion but may be extended based on business needs.
