About the role:
AMT is seeking a Project Manager to support the successful execution of DoW / DoD project work awarded through an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) or similar federal project structure. This position is contingent on contract award. This is a mid-level project management role for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with technical teams, and able to manage schedule, deliverables, risks, communications, project documentation, and project administration in a disciplined way. In this role, the Project Manager will help ensure that AMT's project team executes on time, meets government-facing deliverable requirements, maintains clear internal and external communication, and keeps project documentation organized and audit-ready. This role will also support project financial administration, including tracking progress against milestones, coordinating cost and labor inputs, and assisting with invoice preparation and backup documentation for DoW / DoD review.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting defense, federal, government-funded, or technical projects and understands the importance of compliance, documentation, stakeholder responsiveness, and disciplined execution. Prior exposure to OTA projects, milestone-based deliverables, government reporting, or federal invoicing is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
· Maintain the project schedule and coordinate work across milestones, deliverables, review timelines, and major workstreams.
· Coordinate kickoff meetings, internal team meetings, government status meetings, and project reviews, including agendas, notes, action trackers, decision logs, and follow-up materials.
· Support recurring technical, management, risk, and financial updates for government contacts, and maintain the project risk register with mitigation actions, owners, status, and escalation needs.
· Develop and maintain project plans, trackers, matrices, compliance documentation, and organized records to keep deliverables complete, timely, and traceable from scope through invoicing.
· Track labor, partner inputs, milestone completion, burn rate, budget status, and deliverable acceptance, and assist with invoice preparation, reconciliation, and coordination with finance, contracts, and leadership.
· Identify schedule, budget, staffing, data, and stakeholder risks early, help resolve them, and serve as a coordination point for government stakeholders, industry participants, and partners.
· Protect sensitive information and follow data handling, confidentiality, export control, and cybersecurity requirements while supporting briefing materials, dashboards, executive updates, and internal reports.
· Help improve AMT’s federal project management processes, templates, and reporting practices.
· Other duties as assigned.
