Neuroscientist
The Neuroscientist will work onsite in Austin, Texas.
Reports To: General Manager, 40 Years of Zen – Austin
Collaborates With: Facilitators, Neurotech-trained staff, Licensed Prescriber, Dave Asprey
Function:
Provide scientific leadership for the neurofeedback immersion program, ensuring protocols are evidence-based and client outcomes are maximized. Acts as subject matter expert in QEEG, neurofeedback, and psychedelic-assisted approaches to neuroplasticity, supporting both program integrity and client transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, oversee, and continuously improve neurofeedback and QEEG protocols.
- Partner with licensed prescriber on optional ketamine-assisted experiences.
- Provide scientific guidance to facilitators and neurotech-trained staff (not direct management).
- Conduct QEEG assessments, interpret findings, and translate results into clear client communication.
- Lead client Q&A sessions on neuroscience and neurofeedback.
- Develop and publish research initiatives; track emerging innovations in applied neuroscience.
- Ensure program standards align with The Asprey Group’s science-first values.
Competencies:
- Deep expertise in neurofeedback and applied neuroscience.
- Strong communication skills; ability to translate science into plain language.
- Research design and data synthesis.
- Collaborative, grounded, and curious mindset.
Qualifications:
- PhD (preferred) or Master’s in Neuroscience or related field.
- 5–7 years applied neuroscience or neurofeedback experience.
- Strong QEEG and neurotech proficiency.
- Experience with psychedelic-assisted protocols for neuroplasticity and deeper immersion (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Onsite, full-time in Austin, TX.
- Must be present during immersion program weeks; flexibility for research between programs.
- Hours: Typically 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. during program weeks, with some evenings/weekends as required.
This is a full time salaried position with benefits and we expect the compensation to range from $125k - $150k
