Location: Wood Glen Court, an Assisted Living community
Pay Rate: $18.00-$19.25/hr
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer and manage medications as prescribed, monitor resident responses, and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Orient and train new Resident Medication Aides (RMAs) and Resident Assistants (RAs) through hands-on mentoring.
- Maintain accurate resident records, documenting medication distribution, health changes, and incidents in compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with the Director of Resident Care (DRC) for staffing needs, assist in recruitment, and support teamwork among staff.
- Follow procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
- Ensure the medicine supply room and medication area are organized and compliant with regulations.
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage per state regulations.
- Conduct medication audits, ensure timely refills, and maintain inventory.
- Facilitate training for new staff on medication administration and facility policies.
- Document shift reports and ensure effective communication during shift changes.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a senior living community.
- Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
