Product Designer

Product Designer (CREO)

Seeking a self-starter with a strong record of meeting deadlines and collaborating across engineering teams. This role supports the design, development, and integration of components and subsystems for military ground vehicles—from single parts to full vehicle assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

Design & CAD

• Own mechanical design work using PTC Creo (3D parts/assemblies, MBD, and 2D drawings).
• Perform packaging, feasibility, and kinematic studies.
• Manage BOMs, part numbering, revisions, and engineering change requests.
• Apply ASME drawing/MBD standards and GD&T.
• Reverse-engineer components and perform dimensional stack-ups.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and system-level design issues.

Project Support

• Meet project timelines and participate in internal/customer design reviews.
• Provide technical support to engineering, procurement, and prototype build teams.
• Prepare and deliver design status updates.
• Use Microsoft Office tools effectively.

Desired Additional Skills

• Top-down design/skeleton modeling.
• Basic familiarity with FEA.
• Understanding of DoD technical manuals/illustrations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong CREO experience (5 years in product design.
• DOD experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of systems-based design, military standards, and DoD acquisition processes.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic materials (steel, aluminum, ceramics) and familiarity with 3D printing.

Education:
AS in Product Design (Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, Automotive) preferred; HS Diploma required.

Experience:

• 5 years in product design/development for defense programs.
• Experience working in multi-organization or multinational environments.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
